The Dadant is the largest of all the traditional hives for the beekeeper, and is the the most popular in North America. It too has 11 frames and the Frame Size is 17 5/8″wide x 11 1/4″deep, slightly larger than the previous hive’s frames in width and depth, with similar benefits and drawbacks.
