Bigger again than the Langstroth, the commercial Commercial Hive is a firm favourite in Ireland with even bigger frames and an extra one bringing the number up to 11.
As with the Langstroth the advantages are the increased area of the frames and size of brood, with weight again being the disadvantage. The frame size is increased to 16″wide x 10″deep.
