- Hertfordshire BKA – Hertfordshire Beekeepers’ Association was founded in 1878 by the Reverend Peel and Thomas B. Blow whose apiary became Edward H. Taylor’s in 1900. By its third year HBKA numbered several hundred members and was regarded as a model for others throughout the country. Today the association helps Hertfordshire beekeepers to maintain this tradition.
